12 Fall & Halloween Books for Young Children

Ahhhhhhh. Fall. How I love Fall. From the cool, crisp weather to the changing leaves to the Pumpkin Spice Latte’s (darn you Starbucks…). I love everything about Fall! Even the sounds of Football that fill our home every Saturday and Sunday.
I also LOVE the rain, as does my little E. Last weekend she sat out on our swing and enjoyed the light rain coming down.

To help bring in the season, I love to read my kidlets (and clients) Fall themed books. In fact, I just read two of my favorite fall books to my E before putting her down for her nap this afternoon. She informed me today, that these books are not mine, or her little brother Ev’s, but hers. When I said they belong to our whole family she retorted with No mama, dey are MY books and I don’t have to share dem.”
Sigh. I have a feeling age three is going to be all kinds of awesome. (As I read through this post a year later…yes three HAS been all kinds of awesome. Three is the new 13.)
Anyway, here are a few of my favorite Fall (and Halloween) books. In the next couple weeks I will be posting some activities to go along with a few of them as well! (Edited: I’ve provided you links to activities to go along with each book below that I have done since I originally posted this!).Click on the titles to read more at Amazon.com (yes…I am an affiliate).
