I’m Going to Disneyland! {And Having a Baby!}

July 12, 2013 by Katie Filed Under: Guest Post 6 Comments

What does one do right before one gives birth to baby number three?

You Go to Disneyland!

Right??

DSC_7209-1 As I write this I am counting down the days until Baby Boy gets here! I am 36 weeks 3 days along this Friday and tomorrow my family leaves for a last vacation as a family of four! To Disneyland! (As well as the 2013 Juvenile Arthritis Conference).

Yes, I am crazy. I have been told that by many. This trip was planned WAY before this little guy made his {surprise} entrance into my womb…And I am determined to still do this 😉

When we return, I will be taking time to get ready for baby and waiting for him to come!

I am THRILLED and EXCITED to let you all know that I have a slew of FANTASTIC bloggers who have volunteered to help me out over the next few weeks by providing YOU with some wonderful and FUN summer posts!

Just a few of the topics you can look forward to reading about over the next few weeks include:

  • Using literature to build speech and language skills in young children (books, wordless books, fairy tales, and more!)
  • Materials for use with children with special needs
  • Tips for late talkers
  • Tips for children with ASD in the classroom
  • Stuttering in Early Childhood
  • Speech and language building activities for SLPs and Parents (receptive and expressive language in the home, car, and more!
  • Views on Childhood Apraxia of Speech from a parent
  • Speech & Language skills needed for kindergarten
  • AND MUCH MORE!!!!

Many posts are geared towards parents of young children while others will be geared towards fellow SLPs. However I believe most readers will enjoy the many different topics covered!

I’ll be staying in touch via Facebook, and maybe even Twitter (you all know I am not a huge Twitter-er…haha). I’ll also be pinning so be sure to follow me on Pinterest as well, not to mention I’ll be posting at a couple other blogs (I’ll let you all know when and where!) I’ll pop in with a post here and there to let you know about how we are doing as a family of FIVE (eeeek!).

And…I am super excited about this fall! I  have some new and fun ideas that I will be sharing and will be starting a new monthly newsletter! On top of that…be on the look out as PWW365 will also be getting a new LOOK in the near future.

With that….I am going to go pack. Because I haven’t started yet. Like, at all. Well, I made a list, does that count?

Katie, I so admire you’re energy! When I was 36 weeks pregnant, I was sitting in my air conditioned living room eating ice cream and watching Madmen. Have a wonderful time!
