Why EVERY Child Should Have a Baby Doll

November 25, 2012 by Katie Filed Under: Collaborative Posts, Toys and Language Learning 2 Comments

If you’ve been following my blog for nay length of time, you know how passionate I am about children’s toys . I have written many posts on on the subject of toys and language learning and have more in the works.

So, I was BEYOND excited when my friend Christie from MamaOT, a pediatric occupational therapist, contacted me about collaborating on a post all about the importance of baby dolls in children’s development. Especially in respect to boys having dolls. Together along with clinical psychologist Laura from PlayDrMom the three of us tell you all the reasons why, developmentally, EVERY child should have a baby doll. Yes even the little boys. So head on over to MamaOT right now and tell us what you think!

See you over at MamaOT! Happy Sunday!

My kids were not into dolls. I really tried. I bought my daughter several and was beyond excited when I found Asian looking dolls for her. Nothing. She loves her stuffed animals (same with my son), but not dolls. (Luckily that also means she hasn’t been into Barbie, Polly Pockets, etc!)

CC that is funny! My kids both love our baby dolls but my daughter is also REALLY into her stuffed animals also. She dresses them in all HER clothes. Ha.
