May 22, 2012 by Katie Filed Under: Giveaways, Sign Language and Baby Sign 25 Comments

This whole month of May, which happens to be Better Hearing and Speech Month, I have been sharing with you all many posts that go over the many benefits of signing to your infant and toddler. I hope you all have enjoyed these posts as much as I have enjoyed sharing them with you! One of my favorite sign language products on the market are the DVDs by Signing Time! In fact, I love their products and curriculum so much that I became a certified Baby Signing Time instructor so I can share my love of signing with other parents!

So…to celebrate Better Hearing and Speech month and to celebrate hitting the 1000 fan mark on my Facebook Page…we are going to do a giveaway! There are two prizes up for grabs…Volumes 1&2 in the Baby Signing Time video series! All you have to do is enter using the Rafflecopter below. Giveaway is open to US and Canadian residents only, age 18 and up, and will be open through next Monday Evening! GOOD LUCK!

I love signing for so many reasons! One new reason I just noticed is that it is strengthening my children’s fine muscle coordination–I love watching their little fingers learn to move independently!

Thanks for hosting an amazing giveaway!!

Signing is such a fantastic way to communicate! It is great for the younger ones, especially those with speech or language impairments, as it helps them communicate their wants and needs. It also helps them work on their fine motor movements.
I would love to learn more sign language to hopefully implement some of these signs with my caseload!
Thank you for such a great giveaway!

I would love to win the Signing Time DVD’s to use with families I work with as a Speech-Language Pathologist. It would be great to have DVD’s to be able to loan out to parents to help reinforce the sign language I use in my sessions. Thanks for offering such a cool giveaway & congrats on hitting the 1,000 mark on Facebook 🙂 I love your blog and share posts from it frequently on my OMazing Kids page.

I tried to leave a comment through in order to enter the contest but it wouldn’t let me so I’m doing it down here. I actually do sign language with a blind, nonverbal child. He also has sensory integration disorder, a lot going on! I have taught him two signs so far and he is gaining some independence doing the signs rather than hand-over hand assistance. How great is it that he can express his wants/needs?! i’m sure his parents are proud, as am I. it also makes me feel good that I’m doing something to enhance his communication.

I find that signing with my young children has been a huge benefit…
it helps when they are too young to speak, as well as when we are in quiet places such as a waiting room or in church and I know other people appreciate that the children are quiet! Would love to win this for a more formal type of signing…we’ve just sort of made up some of our own combined with ASL.

I have a few of the regular signing time videos, but none of the baby ones yet…but I didn’t have a baby when I started getting into them! With a deaf child in the house (granted, with cochlear implants, so he hears too), signing is a big part of life, and anything to help introduce my newest is great!
